Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Community Outreach Coordinator for a fully remote role supporting youth in South Africa. In this senior position you will design and drive outreach strategies, build partnerships with schools, government agencies and nonprofits, and guide a small team of staff and volunteers.

You will report on impact, develop engaging materials, and represent the organization at community forums.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Social Work, Sociology, Community Development, Public Administration or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in community outreach, program coordination, or nonprofit management.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, ability to present information clearly and persuasively.
• Strong organizational and project management skills with ability to handle multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive community outreach strategies aligned with organizational goals.
• Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships with local community leaders, schools, government agencies, and other nonprofits.
• Organize and facilitate community engagement events, workshops, and informational sessions.
• Manage and maintain relationships with community stakeholders, ensuring consistent communication and feedback.
• Develop outreach materials including brochures, presentations, and social media content.
• Track and report on outreach activities, measuring effectiveness and identifying areas for improvement.
• Represent the organization at community forums and events as a knowledgeable ambassador.
• Supervise and mentor junior outreach staff or volunteers as needed.
• Stay informed about community needs and trends relevant to the mission.
