Placements24 is seeking a Remote Senior Cloud Solutions Architect to design and deploy scalable, secure cloud infrastructure for teams worldwide, with oversight near Nelspruit.

You will partner with engineering, product and security to define architectural strategy, drive cloud adoption, and deliver cost-effective platforms across AWS, Azure or GCP while mentoring engineers in a remote-first environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years IT experience, with at least 5 years focused on cloud architecture and design.
• Deep expertise in at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, GCP) and related services.
• Proven experience with microservices, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and serverless computing.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable, secure cloud architectures on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Develop architectural roadmaps, technical strategies, and best practices for cloud adoption and migration.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of applications and services.
