About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Solutions Architect to lead the design and implementation of cloud-based solutions in Klerksdorp . This role involves working closely with clients and internal teams to understand their business needs and translate them into scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud architectures on platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP. You will play a key role in defining technology roadmaps and driving the adoption of cloud technologies, ensuring optimal performance and innovation for our client's diverse portfolio of projects within the North West province.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and present comprehensive cloud architecture solutions that meet client requirements for scalability, security, and performance.
• Lead the migration of existing on-premises infrastructure and applications to cloud environments.
• Evaluate and recommend appropriate cloud services and technologies to address specific business challenges.
• Develop architectural blueprints, technical standards, and best practices for cloud deployments.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure the successful implementation and operation of cloud solutions.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance on cloud strategy, governance, and cost optimization.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• 7+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, with at least 4 years focused on designing and implementing cloud solutions (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Deep understanding of cloud computing concepts, services (compute, storage, networking, databases), and security best practices.
