Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Senior Civil Infrastructure Engineer to drive design and implementation of critical infrastructure for urban developments in South Africa. This fully remote role covers roads, stormwater, water reticulation, and sewer systems with emphasis on municipal standards and regulatory compliance.

You will lead design teams, coordinate with planners and consultants, and manage timelines and budgets from a remote setting.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Infrastructure or Municipal Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) registration with ECSA is required.
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in design and project management of civil infrastructure for urban developments.
• Experience with roads, stormwater, water and wastewater systems, and regulatory compliance.

Responsabilités

• Lead design and development of civil infrastructure components for urban development projects.
• Prepare detailed designs, plans, specs, and cost estimates.
• Ensure designs comply with municipal standards and legislation.
• Coordinate with planners, architects, enviro consultants using digital platforms.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources remotely.
• Review contractor submissions and provide guidance during construction.
• Liaise with authorities to obtain approvals and service connections.
• Mentor junior engineers and technicians in the remote team.
• Stay updated on new technologies for sustainable urban development.
