Qualifications

• Ph.D. or Master’s degree in a quantitative field (Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, CS, Statistics).
• Proven experience in analyzing high-throughput biological data, with genomics/transcriptomics focus.
• Proficiency in Python or R and bioinformatics libraries/tools.
• Strong statistics and machine learning knowledge for biological data.
• Shell scripting and Linux/Unix experience.
• Ability to work independently and remotely.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and optimize bioinformatics pipelines for omics data.
• Perform statistical analysis and data mining to identify patterns.
• Collaborate with biologists and clinicians to define questions and interpret results.
• Design and build databases or knowledge bases for biological information.
• Create visualizations to communicate data findings to diverse audiences.
• Contribute to development of novel analytical approaches and tools.
