Placements24 is seeking a Senior Bioinformatician with ML expertise to join a fully remote research team focused on developing computational methods for genomics and proteomics. You will build predictive models, design analytical pipelines, and collaborate with a distributed team of biologists, chemists, and data scientists to accelerate discovery.

The ideal candidate holds a PhD or MSc in a quantitative field, has 5+ years of bioinformatics experience, strong Python/R skills, and hands-on ML

Competenze

• Ph.D. or MSc in a quantitative field (Bioinformatics/Computational Biology, CS, Stats).
• 5+ years of professional bioinformatics experience with ML.
• Proficiency in Python or R and ML libraries (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).
• Extensive genomic data analysis experience (NGS processing, variant calling, expression analysis).
• Ability to work independently and manage remote projects; strong communication skills.
