Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Remote Senior BIM Coordinator in South Africa. You will lead BIM strategies, execute plans, and coordinate among architects, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure efficient information flow on complex projects.

You will manage BIM libraries, run clash analyses, provide training on software, and drive adoption of ISO 19650 standards while working remotely from anywhere in SA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 5–7 years of BIM coordination experience on large-scale projects.
• Expert proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD.
• Strong knowledge of BIM standards including ISO 19650 and SA frameworks.
• Experience developing and managing BIM Execution Plans (BEPs).

Responsibilities

• Lead BIM strategies and execution plans for assigned projects.
• Coordinate BIM activities among architects, engineers, contractors and stakeholders.
• Develop and manage BIM content libraries and templates for consistency.
• Conduct clash detection analyses and resolve issues with teams.

Requirements

• Expert proficiency in industry-standard BIM software such as Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD.
• Solid understanding of BIM standards, including ISO 19650 and local South African BIM frameworks.
• Experience in developing and managing BIM Execution Plans (BEPs).
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, adapted for remote work.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines in a remote setting.
• Strong analytical skills for clash detection and issue resolution.
• Experience with 3D modeling, data management, and information sharing.
