About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly proficient Remote Building Information Modeling (BIM) Specialist to enhance their digital construction capabilities. This fully remote position allows you to contribute your expertise from anywhere in South Africa, collaborating with project teams across various locations. You will be responsible for developing, managing, and coordinating BIM models throughout the project lifecycle, from design through to construction and facility management. This role requires a deep understanding of BIM software, standards, and best practices, coupled with excellent communication and collaboration skills for effective virtual teamwork. You will play a crucial part in improving project coordination, reducing clashes, and increasing efficiency in the construction process.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage high-quality BIM models for architectural, structural, and MEP elements.
• Coordinate BIM models from different disciplines to identify and resolve clashes and design conflicts.
• Ensure adherence to BIM standards, protocols, and project requirements.
• Generate detailed drawings, schedules, and reports from BIM models.
• Collaborate remotely with design teams, contractors, and project managers to support BIM implementation.
• Stay updated on the latest BIM technologies and workflows, and provide training or support to team members as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a BIM Specialist or Coordinator.
• Advanced proficiency in BIM software such as Revit, Navisworks, and related tools.
• Strong understanding of construction processes and project delivery methods.
• Excellent coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proven ability to work effectively in a remote, collaborative team environment.
