About the Role

Our client, a globally recognized architectural and engineering consultancy, is seeking an exceptional Senior BIM Architect to join their distributed team. This role is fully remote, offering unparalleled flexibility to work from anywhere in South Africa. You will be at the forefront of driving Building Information Modeling (BIM) adoption and excellence across a wide array of international projects. This position requires a deep understanding of BIM methodologies, standards, and workflows, coupled with strong architectural design and technical skills. You will be responsible for developing and implementing BIM strategies, managing complex models, ensuring data integrity, and collaborating virtually with project teams across different time zones. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of BIM strategies and execution plans for assigned projects.
• Create, manage, and maintain complex BIM models, ensuring adherence to project standards and LOD requirements.
• Facilitate and coordinate BIM workflows between different disciplines (architecture, structure, MEP) remotely.
• Develop and implement BIM content standards, libraries, and best practices.
• Conduct clash detection analysis and work with project teams to resolve design conflicts efficiently.
• Provide technical support and training to project team members on BIM software and processes.
• Ensure the quality and integrity of BIM data throughout the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with project managers and clients to define BIM requirements and deliverables.
• Stay current with the latest developments in BIM technology and workflows, recommending improvements.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the firm's BIM capabilities.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture.
• A minimum of 7 years of architectural experience, with at least 5 years focused on BIM implementation and management.
• Expert proficiency in BIM software such as Revit, Navisworks, and other related platforms.
• Strong understanding of BIM standards (e.g., ISO 19650) and workflows.
• Proven experience in developing BIM Execution Plans (BEPs).
• Excellent knowledge of architectural design principles and construction documentation.
• Exceptional ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines in a remote work environment.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, adept at using digital communication tools.
• Problem-solving skills and a meticulous attention to detail.
• Experience with rendering software and visualization tools is a plus.
