Placements24 is seeking a Senior Avionics Systems Engineer for a remote-first role influencing the design, development, integration, and testing of advanced avionics for next-generation aircraft.

The ideal candidate has a Master’s or PhD in a relevant field with 8+ years of avionics experience, strong DSP and embedded systems expertise, and familiarity with ARINC 429 and MIL-STD-1553 protocols. Collaboration across distributed teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Master's or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in avionics system design and development.
• Strong understanding of digital signal processing, embedded systems, and airborne communication protocols.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and validate complex avionics systems, including navigation, communication, and flight control systems.
• Perform system integration, ensuring seamless operation between various avionics components and subsystems.
• Develop and execute test plans and procedures for avionics hardware and software validation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to define requirements and resolve integration issues.
• Analyze flight test data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and ensure airworthiness compliance.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence.
