Job summary

Placements24 seeks an Aviation Systems Engineer to design, develop, and integrate complex avionic systems for next‑gen aircraft. This fully remote role requires strong systems engineering foundations and a track record of cross‑functional collaboration.

You will work within a distributed team to model, simulate, and validate requirements, delivering documentation and analysis while staying abreast of industry best practices in aviation systems engineering.

Qualifications

• Degree in aerospace or electrical engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in aviation systems engineering or similar role.
• Strong systems engineering, V-model, and requirements management understanding.
• Proficiency with MATLAB/Simulink for modeling and analysis.
• Experience with avionics standards (DO-178C/DO-254) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and integrate avionics, power, and comms systems.
• Analyze, define, and validate system requirements.
• Perform system testing and performance analysis using simulations.
• Collaborate with hardware, software, and mechanical teams.
• Create and maintain design specs, test plans, and reports.
• Stay updated on aviation systems engineering trends.
