Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Remote Aviation Safety Officer to champion safety initiatives across their operations. You will develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive safety management systems to ensure compliance with national and international aviation regulations, while analyzing safety data and mitigating hazards from a remote, global team.

The role emphasizes audits, risk assessments, incident investigations, and training to foster a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Safety Science, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in aviation safety management, regulatory compliance, or risk management.
• In-depth knowledge of aviation regulations (ICAO, SACAA) and SMS principles.
• Proven experience in safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the organization's SMS.
• Conduct safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments across operations.
• Investigate safety incidents and incidents, identifying root causes and corrective actions.
• Promote a safety culture through training, awareness programs, and communication.
• Monitor compliance with aviation safety regulations and advise management.
