Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Security Awareness Trainer for a financial services group. The role covers Paarl, Western Cape with a fully remote arrangement, focusing on developing and delivering engaging cybersecurity training to educate employees on policies, procedures and best practices.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of delivering training, preferably in cybersecurity/compliance.
• Solid understanding of common cybersecurity threats and best practices.
• Excellent presentation, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to develop engaging and accessible training content for diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Develop training materials, including presentations, modules and phishing simulations.
• Deliver sessions online and potentially in-person across departments.
• Create and manage a calendar of training events and campaigns.
• Assess training effectiveness through quizzes, feedback and metrics.
• Stay updated on cybersecurity threats and best practices to inform content.
• Collaborate with IT and Security to align with policies and controls.
• Promote a culture of security awareness and responsible behavior.
• Analyze phishing click rates and incident reporting to identify improvements.
• Maintain training records and ensure regulatory compliance.
