Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Security Awareness and Training Lead to build and drive a remote-first security education program across a South Africa-based remote workforce. The role focuses on developing engaging content, conducting phishing simulations, and measuring impact to reduce risk.

Collaboration with HR, IT, and Legal is essential to ensure compliant, effective training. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years in security awareness, strong communication skills, and experience with LMS

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Minimum 4 years delivering security awareness programs.
• Experience in content creation and instructional design.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity threats and best practices.
• Experience with LMS and phishing simulation platforms.
• Ability to analyze data and report on program effectiveness.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a strategic security awareness program for all employees.
• Create engaging training content (presentations, videos, modules).
• Design and manage phishing simulation campaigns.
• Develop metrics and KPIs to measure program effectiveness.
• Stay updated on cybersecurity threats and best practices.
• Collaborate with HR, IT, Legal to ensure compliant content.
• Organize and deliver live training sessions (virtual or in-person).
• Promote a culture of security awareness across the organization.
• Manage the security awareness training platform and tools.
• Advise management on program improvements and new initiatives.
