Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Remote Retail Customer Service Representative to be the primary point of contact for customer inquiries, support, and order assistance, handling phone, email, and chat with a focus on service excellence. This role is fully remote and based in South Africa.

You will resolve issues, process returns, and document interactions in the CRM, while maintaining a positive customer experience and building loyalty from your home office.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in customer service, preferably retail or e-commerce.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities with a patient, empathetic demeanor.
• Proficient with CRM software and helpdesk platforms.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
• A stable internet connection and a dedicated home office workspace.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries via phone, email, and live chat.
• Provide accurate product information, assistance with orders, and resolve customer issues effectively.
• Process returns, exchanges, and refunds in accordance with company policies.
• Document customer interactions and feedback in the CRM system.
• Escalate complex issues to the appropriate department or supervisor for resolution.
