Job summary

Placements24 seeks a highly skilled Reservoir Engineer to join a remote_global team. You will develop and maintain advanced 3D reservoir models, run dynamic simulations to forecast production, and evaluate development options across global datasets.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s or PhD in Petroleum Engineering (or related quantitative field) with 6+ years of hands-on experience, proficiency in ECLIPSE/INTERSECT, and programming in Python or VBA.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in Petroleum Engineering or related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 6 years of hands-on reservoir engineering and simulation experience.
• Expertise using reservoir simulation software such as ECLIPSE, INTERSECT, or similar.
• Strong understanding of reservoir fluids, rock mechanics, and multiphase flow.
• Programming in Python or VBA is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed 3D reservoir models using industry-standard simulation software.
• Perform dynamic reservoir simulations to forecast production, evaluate development scenarios, and assess recovery strategies.
• Analyze production data, well test results, and geological information to calibrate and validate simulation models.
• Conduct uncertainty analysis and probabilistic assessments to inform field development plans and economic evaluations.
• Recommend optimal well placement, production rates, and enhanced oil recovery (EOR) techniques.
• Collaborate effectively with virtual teams across different time zones, ensuring clear communication and project alignment.
