Qualifications

• Master's or Ph.D. in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Petroleum Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
• 5+ years of experience as a Data Scientist, ideally in Oil & Gas or similar complex data environments.
• Proficiency in Python or R and data science libraries (scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Experience with big data technologies (Spark, Hadoop) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Strong understanding of reservoir engineering principles and subsurface data.
• Excellent communication for remote, autonomous work.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement machine learning models for reservoir performance prediction and optimization.
• Analyze large datasets from wells, production data, seismic to identify trends and anomalies.
• Build data visualizations and dashboards for stakeholders.
• Design and execute A/B tests and experiments to validate model performance and business impact.
• Collaborate with reservoir engineers, geoscientists, and IT in a virtual setting.
• Contribute to data pipelines and data governance strategies.
