About the Role

Our client, a reputable real estate development firm, is actively seeking a skilled and experienced Remote Real Estate Development Manager to oversee project lifecycles from conception to completion. This fully remote position allows you to manage complex development projects from anywhere, collaborating with stakeholders across various locations. You will be responsible for site acquisition, securing entitlements, managing design and construction teams, financial oversight, and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of the development process, excellent project management skills, and a proven track record of successful project delivery. This role requires a strategic thinker with the ability to navigate the intricacies of real estate development, contributing to impactful projects for our client, and expanding their development pipeline beyond George .

Key Responsibilities

Identify and evaluate potential development sites, conducting feasibility studies and market analysis. Lead the entire development process, from land acquisition and zoning approvals to project completion. Manage relationships with architects, engineers, contractors, consultants, and government agencies. Develop and manage project budgets, financial pro formas, and funding structures. Oversee the design process, ensuring projects meet market demands and financial objectives. Coordinate construction activities, monitor progress, and ensure quality control and safety standards are met. Secure necessary permits, licenses, and approvals from relevant authorities. Develop and execute project timelines, proactively identifying and mitigating risks. Negotiate contracts with vendors and service providers. Prepare regular project status reports for senior management and investors. Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with brand standards and sustainability goals.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Real Estate Development, Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred. Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in real estate development project management. Proven track record of successfully managing diverse real estate development projects (e.g., residential, mixed-use, commercial). In-depth knowledge of the development lifecycle, including entitlement, design, construction, and financing. Strong understanding of zoning regulations, building codes, and permitting processes. Excellent project management, financial analysis, and negotiation skills. Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Procore) and MS Office Suite. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and thrive in a remote, fast-paced environment. Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities. Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems and make sound decisions.
