Placements24 is seeking a meticulous Quantity Surveyor for remote work based in South Africa. The role focuses on cost estimation, contract administration, and financial reporting across diverse projects.

You will manage budgets, monitor expenditures, and provide forecasts to boost profitability while coordinating with project teams remotely. The ideal candidate has a degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying with proven industry experience, strong Excel skills, and excellent negotiation abilities

Qualifications

Degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying or related field.
Proven experience as a QS in construction.
Strong cost management and contract administration knowledge.
Proficiency with QS software and MS Excel.
Excellent analytical and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

Prepare detailed cost estimates and bills of quantities for construction projects.
Administer construction contracts, managing variations, claims, and payments effectively.
Monitor project expenditure, forecast costs, and report on financial performance to management.
Conduct site visits and valuations to track progress and verify work completed.
Negotiate with contractors and suppliers to secure favorable terms and pricing.
Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and financial regulations throughout the project duration.
