Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to oversee remote operations with on-site Centurion manufacturing teams in Gauteng. You will develop and maintain the QMS, drive ISO 9001 compliance, and lead a QA/QC team across production stages.

Strong SPC, CAPA, and auditing experience are essential. Ideal candidates will have 7+ years in QA/QC, including 3+ years in management, and excellent remote collaboration and stakeholder influence skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or a related technical field.
• Minimum 7 years in Quality Assurance or Quality Control within manufacturing, with at least 3 years in a management role.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing ISO 9001 or other relevant QMS.
• Strong knowledge of quality control tools, SPC, and root cause analysis techniques.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Exceptional communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with ability to manage remotely and influence stakeholders.
• Proficiency in quality management software and standard office applications.
• Experience with auditing (internal and external) is essential.
• Previous exposure to Centurion, Gauteng region beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage the company's Quality Management System (QMS) across all manufacturing operations.
• Establish and enforce quality control standards and procedures throughout the production lifecycle, from raw materials to finished goods.
• Conduct regular internal audits to ensure compliance with ISO standards, industry regulations, and company policies.
• Lead and mentor the QA/QC team, fostering a culture of quality awareness and continuous improvement.
• Investigate product non-conformances, customer complaints, and quality issues; implement CAPA actions.
• Collaborate with R&D, production, and engineering to ensure quality in new product development.
• Manage supplier quality, including audits and performance evaluations.
• Prepare and present quality performance reports to senior management, highlighting trends and risks.
• Stay current with industry best practices and regulatory changes.
