Job summary

Placements24 seeks an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to remotely oversee operations in Centurion, Gauteng. You will lead the QMS, drive continuous improvement, and ensure compliance with ISO standards across manufacturing processes.

The role requires 7+ years in Quality Assurance/Control, 3+ years in management, and strong auditing and SPC skills. Excellent remote leadership and stakeholder management are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or a related technical field.
• Master's degree is advantageous.
• Minimum 7 years in Quality Assurance or Quality Control within manufacturing, with at least 3 years in a management role.
• Proven experience in ISO 9001 or other relevant QMS.
• Strong knowledge of quality control tools, SPC, and root cause analysis techniques.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Exceptional communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage remotely and influence stakeholders.
• Proficiency in quality management software and standard office applications.
• Experience with auditing (internal and external) is essential.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage the company's overall Quality Management System (QMS) across all manufacturing operations.
• Establish and enforce quality control standards and procedures throughout the production lifecycle, from raw materials to finished goods.
• Conduct regular internal audits to ensure compliance with ISO standards, industry regulations, and company policies.
• Lead and mentor the QA/QC team, fostering a culture of quality awareness and continuous improvement.
• Investigate product non-conformances, customer complaints, and quality issues; implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Collaborate with R&D, production, and engineering teams to ensure quality is built into new product development processes.
• Manage supplier quality, including audits and performance evaluations.
• Prepare and present quality performance reports to senior management, highlighting trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
• Stay current with industry best practices, emerging quality standards, and regulatory changes.
