Placements24 is seeking a motivated and experienced Remote Purchasing Officer to join its procurement team. This fully remote role allows you to work from anywhere in South Africa while mastering the end-to-end purchasing process for a range of goods and services.

You will negotiate with suppliers, evaluate performance, and collaborate with internal departments to ensure cost-effectiveness, compliance, and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain roles.
• Knowledge of procurement best practices, sourcing methods, and contract management.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management; remote-work capable.
• Familiarity with procurement software and collaboration tools.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines remotely.

Responsabilités

• Manage full procurement cycle from requisition to delivery tracking.
• Identify and evaluate suppliers meeting quality and service standards.
• Negotiate pricing and terms to secure best value.
• Process purchase orders accurately and maintain records.
• Monitor market conditions and supplier performance.
