Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a motivated Remote Purchasing Officer to manage the end-to-end procurement process from requisition to payment, entirely from a remote location. You will identify cost-saving opportunities, build supplier relationships, negotiate terms, and provide procurement support across the organization.

The role requires 3–5 years of purchasing experience, a Bachelor's degree in a related field, and strong remote-work communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a relevant field.
• 3–5 years of purchasing or procurement experience, preferably with remote work.
• Strong understanding of procurement principles and best practices.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills for remote collaboration.
• Proficiency with procurement software, ERP systems, and standard office tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end purchasing process for assigned categories, ensuring policy compliance.
• Conduct market research to identify suppliers and negotiate terms and pricing.
• Process purchase orders, track deliveries, and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain strong supplier relationships and monitor performance.
• Collaborate with internal departments to understand needs and provide procurement support.
• Prepare reports on purchasing activities, cost savings and supplier performance.
