Placements24 is seeking a proactive Purchasing Officer to manage raw materials procurement for a Pretoria-based manufacturing operation. The role emphasizes supplier relationships, cost-saving negotiations, and strong inventory control, with a primarily remote setup and occasional site visits to Pretoria.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years in purchasing, a relevant degree, and solid ERP/MS Office experience to optimize procurement processes and ensure material availability across production

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in purchasing, specifically with raw materials or manufacturing inputs.
• Demonstrated negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Strong understanding of supply chain principles and inventory management.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite and experience with an ERP system (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
