Placements24 is seeking a Procurement Officer specializing in raw materials for a remote-first role. You will source, negotiate, and manage supplier relationships to secure quality, on-time delivery, and favorable pricing for manufacturing needs.

You'll analyze commodity markets, forecast demand, and collaborate with production, QA, and logistics to ensure material flow. The ideal candidate has 4+ years of procurement in manufacturing and strong ERP experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in SCM or related field.
• Minimum 4 years procurement experience in materials/commodities.

Responsibilities

• Source and procure raw materials for manufacturing and align with production schedules.
• Conduct market analysis to identify sourcing opportunities, monitor price fluctuations, and forecast needs.
• Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers to achieve cost savings and favorable terms.
• Manage supplier performance, conduct reviews, and resolve supply chain issues.
• Collaborate with production, QA, and logistics to ensure seamless material flow.
• Maintain records of procurement transactions, supplier information, and inventory levels.
• Develop and implement efficient procurement processes for raw materials.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, new materials, and supplier innovations.
