Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Procurement Specialist to lead end-to-end sourcing and drive cost efficiencies in a fully remote role across South Africa. You will shape procurement strategies, negotiate with suppliers, and ensure compliance with contracts and regulations.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in procurement or strategic sourcing, and strong analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. This remote position offers flexible hours and competitive incentives.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a procurement or strategic sourcing role.
Proven track record of successful negotiation and cost reduction initiatives.
Strong understanding of contract law and procurement best practices.
Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies to optimize spend and supplier performance.
Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify potential new suppliers and procurement opportunities.
Negotiate favorable terms, pricing, and contracts with vendors to achieve cost savings and ensure quality.
Manage supplier relationships, monitor performance, and resolve any contractual or delivery issues.
Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical standards, and all relevant regulations in all procurement activities.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders across various departments to understand their procurement needs and provide expert guidance.
