Job summary

Placements24 is recruiting a Remote Program Manager focused on Digital Inclusion. You will design, implement, and oversee programs delivering digital literacy and technology access to underserved communities across South Africa.

The role requires strategic thinking, strong stakeholder engagement, and proven remote program management skills. You will manage budgets, monitor outcomes, and lead a dispersed team while leveraging Zoom, Slack, and Asana to drive collaboration and impact.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of program management experience.
• Experience managing remote teams and virtual programs.
• Strong understanding of digital literacy and internet access challenges.

Responsibilities

• Develop strategic plans for digital inclusion initiatives.
• Manage full lifecycle of remote programs from conception to evaluation.
• Oversee budget allocation and management for projects.
• Build relationships with technology partners, community organizations, and government agencies.
• Lead a geographically dispersed team with guidance and performance management.
• Develop monitoring and evaluation frameworks to track progress and impact.
• Create and deliver reports on outcomes, challenges, and recommendations.
• Identify emerging technologies and best practices in digital inclusion.
• Facilitate virtual training sessions for participants and stakeholders.
• Troubleshoot technical and logistical issues in remote delivery.
