Job summary

Placements24 is partnering with a national organization to fill the Remote Social Inclusion Officer role. The position focuses on developing and implementing virtual strategies to increase participation of marginalized groups across South Africa, leveraging digital tools to foster belonging and empowerment.

You will design online programs, facilitate workshops, collaborate with NGOs and government partners, and monitor impact with reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Sociology, Social Work, Public Policy, Development Studies, or related field.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in social development, community engagement, or program management, with demonstrable experience in remote operations.
• Proven ability to design, implement, and manage virtual projects and initiatives.
• Strong understanding of social inclusion principles, diversity, equity, and human rights issues in the South African context.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement virtual programs and initiatives to promote social inclusion for diverse and marginalized groups.
• Conduct online research and analysis to identify barriers to social inclusion and develop targeted interventions.
• Develop and manage online platforms and communication channels to engage with communities and stakeholders.
• Facilitate virtual workshops, webinars, and discussion forums on topics related to social inclusion, diversity, and equity.
• Collaborate with community organizations, NGOs, government agencies, and other partners to advance social inclusion goals.
• Develop and disseminate educational materials and resources online to raise awareness and promote understanding of social inclusion principles.
• Monitor and evaluate the impact of virtual programs, collecting data and generating reports on progress and outcomes.
• Advocate for inclusive policies and practices at various levels, utilizing online advocacy tools and strategies.
