Placements24 is seeking a detail-oriented Production Planning Engineer to join the Soweto team. You will develop and manage detailed production schedules, forecast demand, and optimize resource allocation to minimize delays and costs on the manufacturing floor.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or Operations Management and 3–5 years of experience in production planning. This is an on-site position with regular hours and opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or a related role within manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and production systems.
• Proficiency in production planning software and ERP systems.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed production schedules to meet demand forecasts and orders.
• Analyze capacity and resources to optimize scheduling and minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with procurement and inventory teams to ensure materials availability.
• Monitor progress against schedules and implement corrective actions as needed.
