Placements24 is seeking a Remote Process Optimization Specialist for a leading chemical manufacturer. This fully remote role supports distributed engineering and operations teams to identify opportunities for improvement across production lines.

You will optimize workflows, reduce waste, and increase output using process engineering, data analysis, and automation. Strong problem-solving and remote collaboration are essential for success in a global, safety-conscious environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 4 years in process engineering, optimization, or similar role in manufacturing, preferably chemical.
• Translate data into actionable process improvements.
• Experience with process simulation software and data analysis tools (Aspen Plus, MATLAB, Python).
• Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma knowledge desirable.
• Strong remote collaboration and cross-functional communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects independently.
• Familiarity with automation and safety/environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

• Analyze complex manufacturing processes to identify efficiency, yield, and cost improvements.
• Develop data-driven strategies to optimize production workflows and resource use.
• Model process performance and simulate potential improvements with analytical tools.
• Collaborate with on-site teams to implement validated changes.
• Monitor KPIs and report progress on optimization efforts.
• Research and recommend new technologies for process enhancement and automation.
• Document SOPs and best practices for optimized processes.
• Conduct root cause analysis for deviations and implement corrective actions.
• Facilitate virtual knowledge-sharing sessions and training on optimization techniques.
• Ensure all activities comply with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
