Placements24 is seeking a Process Optimization Engineer to drive efficiency, yield, and sustainability across global operations in a fully remote role. You will analyze datasets, build process models, and implement improvements in close collaboration with site engineers and operations teams.

The role requires a master’s degree in chemical engineering or related field, 6+ years of experience, and strong expertise in Aspen Plus/HYSYS, Python, R, and MATLAB.

Qualificações

• Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in process engineering with a strong focus on optimization and data analysis.
• Proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus, HYSYS) and data analysis tools (e.g., Python, R, MATLAB).
• Expertise in statistical analysis, DOE, and data visualization techniques.
• Proven track record of successfully implementing process improvements in industrial settings.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent remote communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
• Self-disciplined, highly organized, and capable of managing workload independently.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies is highly desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Analyze large datasets from plant operations to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for optimization.
• Develop and utilize process simulation models to test optimization strategies and predict outcomes.
• Recommend and assist in the implementation of process modifications to improve yield, reduce waste, and lower energy consumption.
• Collaborate with site-based engineering and operations teams through virtual communication channels.
• Develop and implement KPIs and performance monitoring systems for key processes.
• Conduct root cause analysis for process deviations and operational issues.
• Stay abreast of new technologies and methodologies in process optimization and data analytics.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations on findings and recommendations.
• Support process safety initiatives by identifying and mitigating risks through optimization strategies.
• Mentor and guide site engineers on best practices for process monitoring and optimization.
