Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in process design and development within an industrial setting.
• Proficiency in process simulation and modeling software.
• Strong understanding of chemical engineering principles, thermodynamics and fluid dynamics.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Experience with project management and remote team work environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed process designs, including P&IDs, mass and energy balances, and equipment specs.
• Use process simulation software (Aspen HYSYS, ChemCAD) to model and optimize designs.
• Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments for new process implementations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure safety, quality and operational requirements.
• Troubleshoot and optimize existing processes to improve yield, reduce energy use and minimize environmental impact.
• Stay abreast of new technologies and industry best practices in process design and engineering.
