Placements24 is seeking a Principal Process Engineer to lead the technical direction of complex chemical process design from a fully remote capacity. You will mentor engineers, set best practices, and drive innovation across projects originating from Port Elizabeth operations.

This senior role requires deep expertise in process simulation, modeling, and scaling up challenging chemical processes, with a focus on safety, efficiency, and sustainability.

Qualifications

• Master's or Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering or related field.
• 12+ years in chemical process engineering with project leadership.
• Expertise in process simulation, modeling, and optimization.

Responsibilities

• Lead conceptualization and detailed design of novel chemical processes and systems.
• Provide expert technical guidance and mentorship to engineering teams remotely.
• Develop and implement advanced process control strategies and optimization techniques.
• Conduct high-level risk assessments and ensure compliance with global safety and environmental standards.
• Champion adoption of new technologies to improve process performance and sustainability.
