Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Principal Security Architect to lead enterprise security design and strategy. This fully remote role reports to senior leadership and drives security across cloud and on-prem landscapes to protect critical assets.

You will shape the security roadmap, mentor teams, and ensure security is embedded into SDLC and infrastructure. A 12+ year track record and cloud security expertise are required with desirable certifications.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or equivalent in CS/Engineering.
• 12+ years in cybersecurity with focus on security architecture.
• Cloud security architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP), IAM and data security.
• Proven ability to design and implement large-scale security solutions.
• Threat modeling, risk assessment frameworks and security compliance knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Design and evolve the organization's overall security architecture, ensuring alignment with objectives and threat landscape.
• Develop and maintain security standards, principles, and best practices across cloud and on-prem environments.
• Lead evaluation and selection of security technologies and solutions, providing technical leadership.
• Collaborate with engineering to embed security throughout SDLC and infrastructure deployment.
• Conduct security architecture reviews, risk assessments, and threat modeling for new projects.
• Provide expert consultation and mentorship on complex security challenges to teams.
