Placements24 is seeking a creative and organized PR and Media Coordinator to join our client's team remotely. You will support public relations efforts, manage media relationships, and ensure consistent brand messaging across platforms from anywhere in South Africa, with focus on East London and beyond.

The role involves executing PR strategies, coordinating media outreach, drafting press materials, and collaborating with marketing to ensure cohesive campaigns.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in PR/communications/marketing or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in public relations, media relations, or communications.
• Strong written and verbal communication with excellent attention to detail.
• Familiarity with the South African media landscape.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and executing PR and media outreach strategies.
• Coordinate media requests, pitches, and interview arrangements.
• Draft and distribute press releases, advisories, and related communications.
• Monitor media coverage and industry trends, compiling reports.
• Maintain and update media contact databases and mailing lists.
• Support planning and execution of PR events and activations.
• Collaborate with marketing and social teams for cohesive messaging.
• Assist in managing the online press room and digital assets.
• Provide administrative support to PR and Communications.
