The MSL will work autonomously in a remote-support framework, building relationships with healthcare professionals and driving understanding of innovative therapies.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in life sciences or healthcare field.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable Pharmaceutical Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to join their remote team, serving the Pretoria region. As an MSL, you will be the primary scientific and clinical interface between the company and key opinion leaders (KOLs) in the medical and scientific community. Your role will involve communicating complex scientific and clinical information, gathering insights, and supporting research initiatives. This is a field-based yet remote-support role, offering significant autonomy and the opportunity to build strong relationships with leading healthcare professionals, contributing to the understanding and appropriate use of our client's innovative therapies.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain strong relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), investigators, and other healthcare professionals (HCPs).


• Disseminate complex scientific and clinical information regarding our client's products and therapeutic areas.


• Gather insights from KOLs and HCPs regarding treatment practices, unmet medical needs, and research opportunities.


• Support clinical trial activities, including site identification and investigator support.


• Present scientific data at medical congresses and symposia.


• Provide scientific and clinical input for internal strategy development.

Requirements

• Advanced degree (Ph.D., Pharm.D., M.D., D.V.M.) in a life science or healthcare-related field.


• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Medical Affairs, clinical research, or a related pharmaceutical role.


• Strong understanding of the assigned therapeutic area and relevant scientific literature.


• Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.


• Proven ability to build and maintain professional relationships with KOLs and HCPs.


• Must be able to work independently, manage a territory effectively, and thrive in a remote work environment.
