Placements24 is seeking a Remote Operations Excellence Lead to drive continuous improvement across a fully remote workforce. The role focuses on efficiency, standardized processes, and best practices for distributed teams with emphasis on Bloemfontein, Free State support.

The ideal candidate will master Lean/Six Sigma, excel in data-driven decision-making, and communicate effectively across departments to deliver measurable results in a remote environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in operations management or process improvement, including remote/distributed teams.
• Proven expertise in Lean, Six Sigma, or related methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with data interpretation ability.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management in a virtual setting.
• Demonstrated ability to drive change and achieve measurable results.
• Proficiency with project management tools and collaboration platforms (Jira/Asana/Slack/Teams).
• Experience documenting and developing operational processes.
• Ability to work independently and deliver results in a fully remote role.
• Understanding of South African business operations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and manage operational excellence programs across the organization.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and efficiency in a remote context.
• Develop and maintain SOPs and best practices for remote teams.
• Use data analytics to measure performance and identify enhancements.
• Facilitate workshops and training to promote continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with departments to align and implement changes.
• Act as a change agent to drive adoption of new processes and tools.
• Monitor industry best practices and remote work trends.
• Support development and execution of strategic operational plans.
• Report metrics and progress to senior leadership, impacting regions including Free State.
