Job summary

Sun International is seeking an IT Desktop Support technician to provide technical assistance to end-users in Cape Town. You will handle hardware and software installations, troubleshooting, and remote support as needed.

You will maintain spare parts inventories, assist with AV equipment for conferencing, liaise with vendors, and ensure approved work orders are completed accurately and promptly.

Qualifications

Experience providing desktop support to end-users.
Proficient in hardware and software installation and updates.
Ability to troubleshoot problems remotely and on-site as needed.
Ability to assist with AV equipment for conferencing facilities.

Responsibilities

Respond to incidents logged by end-users that cannot be resolved telephonically.
Provide desktop support to end users using diagnostics to facilitate prompt resolution.
Provide feedback to the service desk on resolution of incidents.
Troubleshoot equipment faults including AV equipment for conferencing facilities; TV repairs where required.
Coach end-users in the use of software.
Make preparations and install and update software.
Maintain a spare parts inventory of systems and components.
Liaise with vendors regarding ordering parts, repairs, services; escalate issues as needed.
Complete orders for approval with regards to work completed.
