Job summary

Valenture Institute seeks a Learning Designer to design, develop and quality assure secondary school course content for online delivery, aligned to NSC and SACAI standards. You will ensure materials meet curriculum requirements and internal quality standards.

You will plan, analyze, and create formative and summative assessments, collaborating with Product, Learning Technology and production teams to deliver engaging online courses.

• Create formative and summative activities with clear mastery criteria.
• Quality-check learning materials against curriculum requirements and standards.
• Collaborate with Product, Learning Technology and production teams to deliver online courses.
• Design digital learning content with attention to accessibility and pedagogy.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to meet timelines.

Responsibilities

• Use the NSC, CAPS and SACAI standards to ensure course content aligns with requirements.
• Plan and analyse subject areas to determine suitable online design solutions.
• Utilize Valenture’s LMS and tools to implement online learning designs.
• Develop formative activities to help learners progress and demonstrate understanding.
• Create curriculum-aligned summative assessments with marking guidelines.
• Assist in production tasks and coordinate with graphics and external assets.
