Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Remote NOC Analyst to monitor and respond to network incidents across our client's national infrastructure from anywhere in South Africa. You will use Nagios, Zabbix, and SolarWinds to detect alerts, perform initial troubleshooting, and escalate to Level 2/3 when needed.

This role requires disciplined time management and clear written reporting for 24/7 operations. The ideal candidate has 1–3 years NOC experience, strong TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP knowledge, and a proactive

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of NOC or network monitoring experience.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and core networking services.
• Experience with telecom technologies is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor network performance and availability using NOC tools and platforms.
• Identify, diagnose and resolve network incidents and outages promptly.
• Respond to network alarms with initial troubleshooting and escalation as needed.
• Document all network events, actions taken and resolutions in the ticketing system.
• Collaborate with Level 2 and Level 3 support teams to ensure timely resolution.
• Perform routine network health checks and preventative maintenance tasks.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of network infrastructure, services and technologies.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of NOC procedures and best practices.
• Ensure adherence to SLAs for incident response and resolution.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams and customers regarding network status and issues.
