Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a skilled Network Infrastructure Technician to join its remote team, supporting clients nationwide. You will monitor, configure, and troubleshoot complex network environments to ensure uptime, performance, and security.

This role emphasizes remote collaboration with distributed engineers and requires hands-on expertise with routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and network monitoring tools. You will document changes and participate in design and capacity planning.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Network Technician or Network Administrator.
• In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP, routing protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF), and network services (DNS, DHCP).
• Experience with network security principles and technologies (VPNs, ACLs).
• Proficiency with network monitoring and diagnostic tools (Wireshark, SNMP).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in remote settings.

Responsibilities

• Perform remote network monitoring and diagnostics to identify and resolve issues.
• Configure, install, and maintain network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls, APs).
• Manage network security protocols and implement best practices (VPNs, ACLs).
• Respond to network alerts and incidents with timely resolutions.
• Document network configurations, changes, and troubleshooting steps.
• Collaborate with senior engineers on network design, upgrades, and capacity planning.
