Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a motivated Remote Network Infrastructure Technician to join a fully remote operations team. You will install, configure, and maintain our client’s global network infrastructure, ensuring uptime, performance, and security while troubleshooting issues and implementing upgrades.

Ideal candidates will have hands-on experience with TCP/IP, BGP/OSPF, and network security, plus proficient use of monitoring tools and configuration management systems.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in network infrastructure support.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing protocols, and security principles.
• Proficiency with network monitoring tools and configuration management systems.
• Experience with virtualization technologies and cloud networking is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving and independent work abilities.
• Strong communication skills for remote collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Remotely install, configure, and manage network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls).
• Monitor network performance and security; identify and resolve issues proactively.
• Perform remote troubleshooting and provide technical support for network problems.
• Implement network upgrades following change management processes.
• Maintain accurate network documentation, diagrams, and inventory records.
• Collaborate with IT teams to ensure network integration across locations.
