Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Remote Network Administrator to design, implement, and maintain our remote network infrastructure, ensuring high availability and security.

You will manage routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and monitoring tools, while collaborating with IT teams to support business objectives. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in network administration, strong TCP/IP, routing, and security expertise, and excels in a remote work setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in CS/IT.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Network Administration.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing and security.
• Experience with firewall management and VPN technologies.
• Proficient in network monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
• Monitor performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimize speed and reliability.
• Implement and enforce network security policies and IDS/IPS.
• Manage configurations, backups and disaster recovery plans.
• Provide remote technical support to end-users and IT staff.
• Stay current with new network technologies and propose upgrades.
