Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a skilled Remote Network Infrastructure Technician to join our fully remote operations team. You will remotely manage, monitor, and maintain a distributed network infrastructure from your own location, collaborating with on-site teams to ensure uptime, security, and performance.

You will work with network devices, monitor performance, and assist in upgrades while documenting configurations and providing end-user support.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in network administration or related IT infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), routing, and switching.
• Experience with remote network management tools and platforms.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and network security best practices.

Responsibilities

• Remotely monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions.
• Perform remote troubleshooting and resolution of network connectivity and hardware issues.
• Manage and maintain network devices, including routers, switches, and firewalls, via remote access tools.
• Assist in the planning and deployment of network infrastructure upgrades and expansions.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive network documentation, including diagrams and configuration guides.
• Provide technical support to end-users and internal IT staff for network-related problems.
