Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a vigilant Network Security Analyst to join a cybersecurity team for a fully remote role safeguarding a telecoms network against evolving threats. You will monitor traffic, detect intrusions, and respond to security incidents.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor's degree in a related field, 4+ years of telecom/IT security experience, and proficiency with SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and endpoint protection. Certifications like Security+ or CISSP are desirable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in network security analysis or a related cybersecurity role within telecoms/IT environments.
• Proficiency with security tools and technologies, including SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and endpoint protection platforms.

Responsibilities

• Monitor network traffic and security logs for suspicious activities and potential security breaches using SIEM tools.
• Investigate and respond to security incidents, including malware infections, unauthorized access, and DoS attacks.
• Implement and manage security controls such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPNs.
• Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and remediate weaknesses.
• Develop and update security policies, procedures, and incident response plans.
• Provide security awareness training to employees and stay informed about threats in telecoms.
