Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Remote Telecom Network Security Specialist to join its security team. This fully remote role focuses on designing, implementing, and managing security measures to protect telecom infrastructure, data confidentiality, and service availability.

The ideal candidate has deep expertise in network security, threat intelligence, incident response, and experience with firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, and VPNs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 7+ years of experience in network security, with a significant focus on telecommunications networks.
• Proven expertise in security technologies such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, and endpoint security.
• Strong understanding of network protocols, cryptography, and security best practices.
• Experience with security incident response and forensic analysis.
• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to work effectively in a fully remote setting.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement robust security strategies and policies for the telecom network.
• Configure and manage firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and other security devices.
• Monitor network traffic for security breaches, anomalies, and policy violations.
• Conduct security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration tests.
• Respond to and manage security incidents, including investigation, containment, and remediation.
• Stay abreast of emerging security threats and vulnerabilities relevant to the telecom industry.
