Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Network Infrastructure Specialist to join our fully remote team, supporting operations that serve the Stellenbosch region and beyond. You will design, implement, and maintain robust network infrastructures for secure, high-performance connectivity across internal systems and client-facing applications.

The role requires deep expertise in LAN/WAN design, security, cloud networking (AWS/Azure/GCP), and routing protocols.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in network administration and infrastructure management.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), and network hardware.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and manage LANs and WANs.
• Implement and maintain network security measures (firewalls, VPNs, IDS).
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
• Plan and execute network upgrades and migrations.
