Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Remote Network Administrator to manage and secure the network infrastructure from anywhere in South Africa. You will configure, implement, and support LAN/WAN networks including firewalls, routers, and switches while safeguarding digital assets.

The role requires strong troubleshooting skills, deep knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, and DNS, plus hands-on hardware experience with Cisco/Juniper. CCNA/CCNP or equivalent certifications are highly desirable.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Network Administrator or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, and DNS.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, or equivalent hardware.
• Proficiency in network security best practices and incident response.

About the Role

You will be responsible for configuring, implementing, and supporting LAN/WAN networks, including firewalls, routers, and switches. Key Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain network security measures, including intrusion detection and prevention systems.
• Perform regular network backups and disaster recovery planning.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Network Administrator or in a similar network engineering role.
