Placements24 is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to own predictive analytics initiatives. Based in Centurion with the option to work remotely across South Africa, you will design, deploy, and iterate ML models, and build scalable data pipelines in collaboration with data scientists and business analysts.

The role emphasizes cloud-based deployment, MLOps practices, and staying current with AI advances. You should have a strong engineering background, expert Python skills, and hands-on

Competenze

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, or related quantitative field.
• 3+ years of professional experience as a ML Engineer or Data Scientist with a strong engineering focus.
• Proficiency in Python and ML libraries such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras.
• Solid understanding of statistical modeling, ML algorithms, and evaluation metrics.
• Experience with data manipulation and analysis tools (Pandas, SQL).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with MLOps is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication, ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical audiences.
