Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Remote MEP Design Engineer to design energy-efficient mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems for global projects. You will use BIM software to create accurate 3D models and coordinated drawings while collaborating with international teams in a fully remote environment.

The role requires a strong background in sustainable design principles, load calculations, and energy simulations, with experience in LEED/Green Star frameworks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering required.
• Pr.Eng. registration or equivalent highly preferred.
• Minimum 6 years in MEP design on sustainable building projects.
• Proficiency in Revit MEP, AutoCAD and energy modeling tools.
• Solid understanding of LEED or Green Star rating systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop MEP systems for sustainable projects in a remote setting.
• Create detailed 3D BIM models and coordinated drawings using Revit MEP.
• Perform load calculations and energy analyses to optimize performance.
• Specify energy-efficient equipment and renewable energy integration.
• Ensure compliance with building codes and standards.
• Collaborate with architects and engineers across international teams.
• Prepare technical reports and construction administration support.
• Evaluate new sustainable technologies for MEP applications.
